This tour can be booked as a stand-alone experience or combined with our Dordogne tour for the ultimate French adventure. Your seamless transfer days will be thoughtfully organised by your wonderful guides, Patsy and Catherine.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day One: Welcome to Amboise
Meet your guides and fellow travelers at Le Manoir St Thomas. After settling in, begin your adventure with a guided visit of Château d’Amboise, the royal residence of kings. Later, discover the secrets of a traditional Loire Valley mushroom farm.

Day Two: Château de Chenonceau & Boat Lunch
Step into the elegance of the Château de Chenonceau, known as Le Château des Dames.
After exploring its enchanting gardens, enjoy a leisurely lunch aboard La Belandre, gliding twice under the château’s arches on the Cher River. The afternoon is yours to relax in charming Amboise.

Day Three: Clos Luce and Silk worm farm
Visit a family-run silkworm farm at La Magnanerie de Bourré to learn the centuries-old craft of silk making. In the afternoon, walk in the footsteps of genius at Clos Lucé, Leonardo da Vinci’s final residence, where his inventions and artistry come alive.

Day Four: Royal Château of Blois & Wine Tasting
Explore the grandeur of the Royal Château of Blois, rich with stories of intrigue and royalty. After a delicious lunch in Blois, enjoy a guided stroll through the historic town before savoring a wine tasting at Plou & Fils Winery.

Day Five: Château de Chaumont
Wander the gardens, stables, and halls of Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire, famed for its contemporary garden festival. In the afternoon, toast to your journey with a final wine tasting at Cave de Moncontour, before returning to the manoir for a relaxed evening.

Day Six: Farewell Breakfast & Transfers
Enjoy a final breakfast together before departing. Guests will be transferred to Tours TGV train station, or continue with us on the Dordogne tour extension beginning August 28, 2026.
